But the truth is that once files have been deleted from Mac Leopard then it can be easily recovered using recovery tool. It is possible as when file is erased from the system Operating System just remove its entry from the allocation address & marks the space as free.  Actually the file is still present in some part of the Mac volume and you can easily recover files from Mac Leopard OS X. But before that lets go through some loss scenarios.

Facts responsible for losing files from Mac Leopard OS X:

  • Antivirus scanning: Virus or malicious program from network is one of the main reasons of loss of files. If the virus infects the file system of the volume, all the files present in the drive become inaccessible resulting in huge data loss from Mac Leopard system. When you perform antivirus scanning program some files get deleted because often it cannot fix the file & erase the file from the drive.

  • Accidental formatting/deletion: Accidentally if you select wrong volume while formatting or reformatting the disk using disk utility then it may end up in loss of files from Mac Leopard.

  • Unsuccessful cut paste: While copying file using “cut +paste” option from memory card to Mac machine, if the process is interrupted like removing the card abruptly or sudden system shutdown then files get removed from Mac system.

  • Emptied Trash Bin: When you delete file from system it gets stored in the trash bin. When you want to empty the trash bin you can simply click an option to empty it. But in a hurry you may have emptied the trash & lost an important file that was stored in it. Hence, data loss.
